This 42 hour non-credit course provides learners with the hands-on skills to build and deploy Java EE applications. Topics include stateless and stateful Session Beans, Message Driven Beans, and managed and unmanaged Entities. Learners examine the proper use of transactions and security while building an enterprise application. Assembling applications by reusing components, using Entity callback, and using Listeners and Interceptors are examined, and an overview of Web Services is presented. It is strongly recommended that students complete CXEC320 or have equivalent Java EE programming and development experience or be an Oracle (Sun) Certified Java Programmer prior to taking this course.
Registered students will have access to Ryecast, a web streaming tool that captures lectures for on-demand viewing.
