This 42 hour non-credit course introduces learners to the popular image editing program, Photoshop. Introductory topics include creating original artwork, retouching and enhancing scanned images, and applying filters and special effects to images. Intermediate topics include pen tool techniques, vector paths and shapes, advanced layer use, and preparation for the web, including rollovers and animations. It is strongly recommended that students be familiar with the Windows environment and have experience using a desk top application comfortably prior to taking this course.
Registered students will have access to Ryecast, a web streaming tool that captures lectures for on-demand viewing.
