In this non-credit course, students gain hands-on experience developing applications for the iOS mobile device, the iPhone. The features of the latest iOS SDK are explored, as well as Objective-C language essentials. Topics include code optimization, data persistence, Twitter integration, and view controllers. Students learn how to design interfaces, build controls, connect to networks and services, and how to deploy apps to devices, testers, and the App Store. It is strongly recommended that students complete CXEC300 OR CXEC320 OR have equivalent OO programming experience prior to taking this course.
Registered students will have access to Ryecast, a web streaming tool that captures lectures for on-demand viewing.
