Note: This course has been updated for the Winter 2013 term. Building on Introduction to SQL (CXCP216), this 42 hour non-credit course provides learners with the skills required to develop advanced database applications using SQL Server. Topics include the implementation of T-SQL and CLR user-defined functions, stored procedures, triggers, transactions, concurrency, error handling, set-based programming techniques, dynamic SQL, and the implementation of a dynamic schema solution using XML and XQuery. Learners work with spatial data using the new geometry and geography types and spatial indexes. It is strongly recommended that students complete CXCP 216 or have equivalent SQL experience prior to taking this course.
Registered students will have access to Ryecast, a web streaming tool that captures lectures for on-demand viewing.
