This 42 hour non-credit course provides learners with the skills required to develop effective data-driven Spring applications using Hibernate. Topics include dependency injection/inversion of control, association and collection mapping, component and inheritance mapping, object lifecycle, and persistence and session management. Spring JDBC development, Spring IOC integration, transaction management, automatic versioning, and the Hibernate Query Language (HQL) are explored in detail.It is strongly recommended that students complete CXEC320 AND CXEC313 or have three years of equivalent Java programming and development experience prior to taking this course.
Registered students will have access to Ryecast, a web streaming tool that captures lectures for on-demand viewing.
