JavaScript, an interpretative programming language that can be embedded into HTML, enhances the document by creating an interactive experience between a user and a web browser. In this 42 hour non-credit course, learners obtain hands-on exposure to JavaScript concepts including variables and functions, event handling, operators and statements. Dynamic HTML is explored, and learners create a dynamic web site using multi-dimensional objects, navigational menus, and controls. It is strongly recommended that students complete CXCP663 or have equivalent HTML and CSS experience prior to taking this course.
Registered students will have access to Ryecast, a web streaming tool that captures lectures for on-demand viewing.
