This course has been updated to HTML 5 and CSS3, and is being updated for the Fall 2013 term. This 42 hour non-credit course provides learners with a hands-on introduction to creating their own web pages using HTML and CSS. Students write standards-compliant HTML code and format web pages using CSS. Topics include comparing HTML 4.01 tags to HTML 5, formatting text, incorporating images, multimedia, and creating links, tables, and forms. Students explore CSS, apply CSS formatting, and use layout styles. It is strongly recommended that students be familiar with the Windows environment and have experience using a desktop application comfortably prior to taking this course.
Registered students will have access to Ryecast, a web streaming tool that captures lectures for on-demand viewing.
